Clarion Training - Inside the Clarion 7 IDE

The new Inside the Clarion 7 IDE includes a series of eight training sessions. In these sessions you’ll learn everything you need to know to become an IDE Power User.

  Clarion 7 has the ability to generate and build as many .Apps as required for your product with one button. Find the answers to these common requirements and more tips and tricks to getting the most from this powerful feature.
  
• Window and Report Designers - Power user tips and tricks
  Both of the Designers are brand new and offer many new productivity features, in this session you’ll find out how to get the most from these powerful tools.
  
• Making the Dictionary do more work for you
  The Clarion Data Dictionary can do much more than just store your Table definitions, in this session you’ll find out how to get more done using your Data Dictionary.
  
• Designing reports in the new Report Writer
  Quickly discover the best techniques for creating beautiful reports using the new Report Writer. We’ll explore the new report controls, the powerful scripting functionality, and much more.
  
• Integrating the new Report Writer engine into your application
  We’ll teach you how to integrate the new Report engine seamlessly into your Application, and we’ll teach you how to completely control the report at runtime; passing in parameters, setting filters, and changing the sort order.
  
• Personalizing the IDE for your work style
  The new IDE is has tremendous flexibility in how you can customize it, in this session you’ll discover how to make full use of that flexibility.
  
• Automating the Build from the Command Line
  Clarion 7 comes with the tools to enable you to automate the generate and build cycle, so that you can initiate a complete rebuild of your entire system from the command line. In this session you’ll find out how it’s done.
  
• Integrating Subversion version control
  The new IDE has tight integration for the free, open source, Subversion version control system. We’ll teach you how easy it is to install Subversion and make it part of your development cycle.
