Our next generation Reporting tool, Clarion ReportWriter
was designed to help you create easy-to-understand and visually beautiful
reports in the shortest possible time. Use a Wizard-driven user interface to
select your fields and tables and use a WYSIWYG editor to design your report.
ReportWriter creates an optimized report using the same database driver
technology as the Clarion development system, and it connects to almost any data
source.
Report Wizard
The Clarion ReportWriter includes a powerful
report creation wizard simplifing the process of creating and customizing new
reports. The report wizard allows you to specify the data source from either
your Clarion Data Dictionary, or any standard data source. You can apply
grouping to specific fields, create summary fields, set sort orders, and more.
The wizard allows a selection of several standard report layouts which you can
use for your report.
Report Preview
The built-in Report Preview allows you to print
your reports and export them as the most popular formats (PDF, HTML, MHT, RTF,
TXT, CSV, XPS and MS Excel). You can zoom and scale your report, as well as
apply an image or text watermark to it. You can email a report, search within
the report, and you can preview your report as an HTML document.
Label Reports
You can use ReportWriter to print mailing labels,
stickers, business cards, badges and labels of any kind. The wizard has a wide
range of the most popular predefined label types - it supports AOne, Avery,
Herma, Zweckfrom and many others (over 1500 in all).
Multi-Column Reports
ReportWriter provides support for
creating multi-column reports, you can print either across then down (in rows)
or down then across (in columns).
Mail Merge
ReportWriter supports quick and easy way mail merge
reports.

Reports
ReportWriter supports advanced scripting technology. Scripts
can be written in either Clarion, C# or Visual Basic .NET. Scripts can be used
to calculate custom summaries of any complexity.

Clarion ReportWriter reports - just open the old report and it is automatically
converted.
